Tour Description:

This safari combines three of the most diverse and spectacular game viwing areas in Zimbabwe. The program begins with 2 nights at Davison’s Camp in the eastern part of Hwange National Park which is renowned for its incredible concentrations of wildlife. From Hwange you travel to Changa Safari Camp for 2 nights won the shores of  Lake Kariba, before ending your tour with 3 nights at Ruckomechi Camp on the Zambezi River. Ruckomechi Camps is situated adjacent to Mana Pools National Park known for magnificent wildlife viewing.The safari begins and ends at Victoria Falls.

Davison’s Camp
Davison’s Camp is situated in the remote north-eastern corner of Hwange National Park. the camp and overlooks an waterhole that attracts a variety of plains game and predators. Game viewing is good all year-round in the Linkwasha Concession and wildlife encountered here includes lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, white rhino, spotted hyaena, southern giraffe, sable, blue wildebeest,
impala, common waterbuck and reedbuck. The area has a number of large, open plains areas which make for excellent game
viewing where wildebeest, zebra and eland are found in abundance during summer months. In winter the waterholes are areas
around which elephant in huge numbers congregate to drink. Birdlife  is prolific and varied, with over 400 species. Game viewing activities includes game drives or guided walks in the early mornings and evenings, while during the siesta hours, guests can view game from their tent verandas, when wildlife converges at the waterhole to drink. The camp is situated in a grove of beautiful false mopane trees, Davison’s Camp consists out of eight twin-bedded en-suite tents and one family unit. The main area comprises of a lounge and dining room.
 
Changa Safari Camp
Changa Safari Camp is is situated on the shores of Lake Kariba in a concession in the north-eastern section of the Matusadona National Park. The area plays host to many different mammals and birds species present in this diverse habitat. Large predators like Leopard, lion, hyaena and cheetah are found here. Elephant, hippo and a multitude of antelope species are also present. The birdlife is prolific with over 350 species recorded including many waterbird species. The area is a hikers  paradise and the camp specialises in early morning or late afternoon walks in the company of one of the camp’s professional guides. Game drives or cruises also take place and fishing on Kariba is also available. Accommodation consists out of four large East African-style luxury canvas tents, all overlooking the lake. The tents all have en-suite bathrooms, with indoor shower, flush toilet, his and hers basins, outdoor bath tub and outdoor shower. The central includes a lounge library, dining room, bar, beautiful deck and swimming pool, all overlooking Lake Kariba.
 
Ruckomechi Camp
Ruckomechi Camp is situated in an exclusive concession of Mana Pools National Park, in the Zambezi Valley. 
A wide variety of wildlife and bird species are found in this are. The dry season sees large herds of elephant and
buffalo together with hippo, waterbuck, kudu, nyala and eland gathering along the banks of the Zambezi river. This also means that predator sightings are very good with lions frequenting the floodplains and adjacent woodland, while leopard abound in the the thickets.
Cheetahs and wild dog are also found here. The area is known for its superb birdlife, offering over 350 species including collared palm-thrush and African skimmer. Activities include early morning walks, morning and afternoon game drives, night drives and canoeing.
Accomodation consists out of 10 spacious en-suite tents, including a honeymoon suite and family room, with views of the Zambezi River
and the escarpment beyond. Each tent has both an indoor and outdoor shower. A central dining area, bar, library and main area complete the camp. The camp also has a deck with an infinity pool for swimming and sun bathing, and a sundowner and stargazing deck.
